What is co-pilot drafting?

Co-pilot drafting is a way of working in which an AI writes a reply to each email and a person reviews it and decides whether it is sent.

In co-pilot drafting the AI does the typing and the person keeps the judgment. Nothing leaves the mailbox until someone approves it. This is sometimes called human-in-the-loop email.

Why start in co-pilot

Co-pilot is the lowest-risk way to put AI on an inbox, because a wrong draft costs a few seconds of editing instead of a wrong email to a customer. It is also how an agent learns. Each approval, edit, and rejection is a signal about what a good reply looks like for your business.

The review step is fast when the drafts are good. Reading a correct reply and clicking approve takes far less effort than writing the same reply from a blank page.

Co-pilot in inboxr

Every inboxr mailbox starts in co-pilot. Drafts appear in a review queue with a confidence score and the topic detected. You can approve, edit then approve, regenerate, or reject. Edits and any note you leave are saved as examples for future drafts. Approvals made without edits count toward unlocking autopilot for that mailbox, if you ever want it.
